Phoenix Gold Ryval Series Subs Now Shipping

Phoenix Gold (www.phoenixgold.com) has announced that its new Ryval subwoofers are now shipping. The new Ryval Series subwoofers are available in 10- and 12-inch models with single and dual voice coil configurations.

Ryval subs have been developed and CAE/CAD optimized by Phoenix Gold to set new standards in performance. The powerful yet affordable line includes laminate-treated paper cones for excellent stiffness to weight ratio and superior damping qualities, as well as a high excursion triple layer UV-treated black foam surround. A CAD-designed rigid powder coated steel frame for precise motor alignment and an optimized magnet/motor structure has also been incorporated for superior reliability and performance.

The Ryval V10S (single voice coil) and V10D (dual voice coli) 10-inch subwoofers handle up to 150 watts RMS, and can be mounted in a sealed or ported box.

On July 25, 2006 PHX AP Acquisitions announced that it and Phoenix Gold Vice President Tom O’Mara had acquired Phoenix Gold International, Portland, Oregon-based parent company of renowned consumer and professional audio brands Phoenix Gold, AudioSource, and Carver. The new executive team also announced that it had appointed Jonathan Cooley as CEO and O’Mara as president.
